(Published in The Norman Transcript October 7, 14, 2016, 2t) NOTICE TO BIDDERS County Bid #COM3-1775 Notice is hereby given that Cleveland County will accept bids on the following: Construction of a Bridge Structure for a 31 foot long I-beam Bridge with a concrete deck. The beams will be provided by the County at the site. The bridge location is 14E1310N318002, Project No. 6005702, Cemetery Road (EW 131) over an unnamed creek Approximately 0.2 miles east of 72nd Street (NS 318). A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Business Relationship Affidavit are part of the bid requirements. Dodge www.construction.com/dodge Bid specifications and Plans/Blueprints may be obtained at the Cleveland County Purchasing Department at 201 S. Jones, Suite 250, Norman, Oklahoma, between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Monday - Friday. Bids will be received until 4:30 P.M., Friday, October 28, 2016, and will be opened at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 31, 2016, during the Cleveland County Commissioners’ meeting held at 201 S. Jones, Suite 200, Norman, Oklahoma. The Cleveland County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids submitted. This work will be done under the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, except as modified herein by plans and special provisions. Bids must be accompanied by all necessary affidavits and a 5% bid bond in a certified or cashier’s check or surety bond made payable to Cleveland county and shall accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder. The surety bond or cash guarantees Cleveland County that the Contractor will, if awarded a contract, provide the necessary Performance Bond(s) and properly completed contract within the time required by Cleveland County. Evidence of having proper workmen’s compensation coverage for employees as provided by Title 85 of the Oklahoma Statutes Section 61 shall be required prior to issuance of a work order. Upon award of contract to a successful bidder, the contract will be completely executed within ten (10) working days from the date of award by the successful bidder and Cleveland County. Cleveland County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantage business programs will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion or national origin in consideration for an award.
