(Published in The Norman Transcript July 22, 2016, 1t) NOTICE TO BIDDERS County Bid #COM-1762 (CDBG) Notice is hereby given that Cleveland County will accept bids on the following: The purchase and delivery of one (1) 2016 or newer, Super Tanker for the Lexington Fire Department A Non-Collusion Affidavit is part of the bid requirements. All bids must include assurances that the following provisions will be complied with: 1. Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, which assures that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, natural origin or sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of or be subjected to discrimination; 2. Certification of Non-Segregated Facilities, which assures the bidder does not maintain or provide any segregated facilities; 3. Equal Opportunity provisions - Executive Order 11246, as amended, which assures non-discrimination; 4. Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise provisions, which encourage minority-owned businesses and women-owned businesses to bid on the project; 5. Assurances that surety companies executing bonds appear on the Treasury Department’s list and are authorized to transact business in the State where the project is located. Bid documents with specifications may be picked up from the County Purchasing Department, located at 201 S. Jones, Suite 250, Norman, Okla., between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Bids will be received until 4:30 P.M., Friday, July 29, 2016 and will be opened 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 1, 2016, during the County Commissioner’s’ meeting held in Suite 200 at the above address.
