(Published in The Norman Transcript May 10, 2016, 1t) SOLICITATION FOR BIDS Sealed proposals are being accepted to furnish all labor and equipment for the construction of the New Water Standpipe. Sealed proposals will be received by the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma at the Office of Environmental Health & Engineering Conference Room, Building #13, located at 2025 S. Gordon Cooper Drive, Shawnee, Oklahoma, until 3:00 oclock p.m., Central Standard Time, on the 27th day of May, 2016, at which time said bids will be opened. Construction of the New Water Standpipe will be located in Little Axe, Oklahoma. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturday, Sundays and Holidays, before the time set for opening of bids, was well as bids received after the time set for opening of bids, will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above-mentioned office immediately following the closing time stated above. Deposits will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. The Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Please note, bidders proposal time for completion will be considered in addition to cost for awarding the construction contract to the successful bidder. The expected time period within which a contact will be executed following award to the successful bidder is thirty (30) days. Indian Preference will be given as to Sec. 7 (b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450(b). Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u (section 3) will apply.
