(Published in The Norman Transcript March 24, 2016, 1t) REQUEST FOR NORMAN 2025 LAND USE PLAN AMENDMENT AND REZONING NOTICE is hereby given that a proposed Land Use Plan Amendment and Ordinance will be considered at a Public Hearing at the Planning Commission meeting on the 14th day of April, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Norman Municipal Building, 201 West Gray Street, Norman, Oklahoma. At that meeting, any and all persons may appear and protest or support the passage of said Land Use Plan Amendment and Ordinance. Any protest must be in writing and filed with the City Clerk prior to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016, in order to be reported to the Planning Commission. Any protests received after that deadline will be reported to the City Council. Please be advised that e-mail transmissions cannot be considered as legal protest or support. The proposed Land Use Plan Amendment will change the designation of the tract from Open Space Designation to Low Density Residential Designation, and the proposed Ordinance will rezone the property from Parkland District, to R-1, Single Family Dwelling District, to wit: A tract of land lying in the Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of Section Twelve (12), Township Eight (8) North, Range Three (3) West of the Indian Meridian, Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma described as follows: BEGINNING at the most southerly southwest corner of Lot One (1), in Block Three (3) of SMOKING OAKS SOUTH NO. 2 according to the plat recorded in Book 12 of Plats, Page 51; THENCE South 51º11’12” West a distance of 88.84 feet; THENCE North 49º46’39” West a distance of 219.44 feet; THENCE North 44º19’59” West a distance of 33.07 feet; THENCE North 78º45’08” East a distance of 150.91 feet to a point on the centerline of Echo Trail; THENCE South 38º48’48” East (South 36º48’48” East-Record) along the Westerly line of Block Three (3) of said SMOKING OAKS SOUTH NO. 2 a distance of 178.53 feet (175.18 feet-Record) to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Said described tract of land contains an area of 23,317 square feet or 0.5353 acres, more or less. Said proposed Land Use Plan Amendment and Ordinance will be brought up for hearing and final passage at a City Council meeting subsequent to the Planning Commission action on said Proposed Land Use Plan Amendment and Ordinance and may be continued from time to time.
