(Published in The Norman Transcript August 18, 2016, 1t) REQUEST FOR HISTORIC DISTRICT DESIGNATION AS AN OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICT NOTICE is hereby given that a proposed Ordinance will be considered at a Public Hearing at the Historic District Commission meeting on the 6th day of September, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Norman Municipal Building, 201 West Gray Street, Norman, Oklahoma. Once the application is reviewed and considered by the Historic District Commission, their recommendation will be forwarded to the Planning Commission which will conduct a Public Hearing on the proposed Ordinance on the 8th day of September, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Norman Municipal Building, 201 West Gray Street, Norman, Oklahoma. At these meetings, any and all persons may appear and protest or support the passage of said Ordinance. Any protest must be in writing and filed with the City Clerk prior to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016, in order to be reported to the Planning Commission. Any protests received after that deadline will be reported to the City Council. Please be advised that e-mail transmissions cannot be considered as legal protest or support. The proposed Ordinance will create a Historic District Zoning Overlay District, to wit: Lots 24-34, Block 21; Lots 1-38, Block 22 of Classen-Miller Addition; and Lots 1-45, Block 1; Lots 1-48, Block 2; Lots 1-27, Block 3; Lots 1-13, Block 5; Lots 1-48 Block 6; Lots 1-48, Block 7 and Lots 1-20, Block 10 of Southridge Addition, City of Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, said tracts of land containing 26.8 acres more or less. Said proposed Ordinance will be brought up for hearing and final passage at a City Council meeting subsequent to the Planning Commission action on said proposed Ordinance and may be continued from time to time.
